KSHMR (real name Niles Hollowell-Dhar) just released his latest track, “Magic” on his label, Dharma Worldwide, on November 2nd. The Los Angeles producer has been turning out a steady number of hard-hitting big room tracks for over four years, but this one tells a notable story.
After working on it for three years, Hollowell-Dhar finally played the track out on big stages at both Amsterdam Music Festival and Escape: Psycho Circus last month. “Magic” initially started as an idea that took a hold on the producer and wouldn’t let go. “The vocal was just so catchy it gave me the same feeling that [my Tiësto collaboration] “Secrets” did without having to force it,” he has said of the track.
To not only release a track of this caliber, but to do it as a solo artist, is no small feat. This one truly evokes magic to the listener, especially knowing it was has been on the back burner throughout such a major portion of Hollowell-Dhar’s electronic production career.
The last big track we were talking about from KSHMR was “Opa,” his collaboration with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike that came out earlier this year. Read about it here.
