Kaskade has been known to drop in and play surprise sets at Insomniac events, but his latest one was particularly unexpected. During an appearance at the Rabbit Hole stage at Beyond Wonderland last night, the L.A. DJ/producer played an entire set of drum and bass.

Video clips captured by numerous attendees capture the stunt in all its head-turning splendor. Between classics like Doc Scott‘s “VIP Drumz” and Cyantific‘s “Cyantific Dub,” he played a set that surely resonated with any drum and bass fanatic within earshot.

Despite his roots in house and his reputation as a main stage headliner, Kaskade (real name Ryan Raddon) is no stranger to the drum and bass genre. In 1997 he released a three-track drum and bass EP titled Introducing under his DJ Radon alias via the Oxygen Lab imprint.

Unless he delivers another impromptu set beforehand, Kaskade is slated to resume touring on March 28th with a performance at Hyde Beach in Miami, Florida.
