6. “Apollo” ft. Amba Shepherd – Hardwell

With tracks like “Spaceman” and “Area51” it’s obvious that Hardwell is a fellow space fan. “Apollo” not only has a space theme, but it’s also a song about fighting to survive, which every character in the Star Wars universe is very familiar with. Just look at Han Solo and Chewbacca, they’re civilian smugglers and they’re trying to stay out of major trouble and avoid being killed while shipping some possibly illegal goods – and they’re not even directly involved in the Galactic Civil War… Yet.

Exploring the universe is no easy feat – just ask some of Starfleet’s most notable captains like James T. Kirk, Kathryn Janeway or Jean-Luc Picard. It’s pretty overwhelming to say the least, what with saving planets, settling alien disputes, encountering your alternate self in the mirror universe and facing off your toughest enemy, Khan, on a daily basis. Cosmic Gate‘s most popular trance track, “Exploration of Space,” perfectly fits the ups and downs of space travel in the classic sci-fi adventure that is Star Trek.

4. “Alien Technology” – HI-LO and Alok

Nothing good ever comes from venturing into old alien ships, especially ones with lots of alien eggs ready to hatch. HI-LO and Alok‘s “Alien Technology” hits the nail on the head when it comes to fitting the popular sci-fi horror Alien. With the combination of a robotic vocal refrain and heavy beats, it gets you feeling just as anxious as Ripley to get that alien out of Nostromo after it picks off the rest of her crew one by one.

3. “Moonbound” – Anzo

“Moonbound” throws us into a dystopian, futuristic Los Angeles (okay so it’s supposed to be 2019, but we all know there’s nothing super futuristic about it or any place right now). Like the original Blade Runner‘s soundtrack, this Anzo track has retro video game sounds and a dark aura that makes you feel like you’re right there with Rick Deckard hunting down replicants.

2. “Moonwalk Mike” – DROELOE

What could be better for a secret agency who deals with aliens in disguise living in New York’s five boroughs on a daily basis than a trap track that has this cool alien vibe to it? “Moonwalk Mike” might not fit scenes from the original Men in Black, but we can totally imagine it being in the reboot as some badass entrance right after Agents (pick a few letters) kick some alien ass.

Of course, we have to include Daft Punk! They’re the masters of futuristic-sounding electronic music, after all. From their second album, Discovery, “Aerodynamic” is a funky track with playful guitar arpeggios and synths that perfectly fit the fun nature of our favorite little robot, WALL-E. Even though he has a mundane job of compacting an endless field of garbage, he manages to make it fun with collecting trinkets and watching old black and white romantic films.
