One of the most prominent acts in bass music, Excision, has unleashed the second entry in his annual Lost Lands mix series. The world-renowned DJ/poducer (real name Jeff Abel) has compiled close to two hours of hard-hitting bass for the latest installment.

Abel’s masterful song selection and creative mixing are on full display as he traverses through a myriad of bass music sub-genres with ease. Alongside the latest mix is the official compilation album for this year’s Lost Lands Festival. The 2018 compilation album showcases some of Excision’s latest and greatest tracks along with tunes by a mixture of dubstep legends and rising stars.

Every year from 2008 to 2016, Abel released his mix from his performance at Shambhala Music Festival in Salmo, Canada. In 2017, he switched over to a yearly Lost Lands compilation and mix in honor of his very own music festival, Lost Lands.

In recent years, Abel has assumed the role as one of the leading figures in bass music. Between his ever-growing collection of popular dubstep tracks and the creation of the world’s largest bass music festival, he has shown himself to be one of, if not the most important figures in the genre.

In its second year, Lost Lands has transformed a small town in Ohio into a Mecca for bass music. This year’s festival featured four days of music from the most notable names in the genre. Some of the performers to take the dinosaur and volcano clad stages include Flux Pavilion, Illenium, Jauz, Rezz, Zomboy, and many more.
